About Afternoon Tea at Majorelle

The Lowell presents the Lily of the Valley Afternoon Tea at Majorelle in collaboration with Dior Maison. The Lily of the Valley Afternoon Tea draws inspiration from the very flower embedded in its name. Highly regarded as one of Christian Dior’s favorite flowers, it is celebrated as a token of good luck meant to be shared. Surrounded by Majorelle’s famed floral arrangements, and served on Dior Maison’s Lily of the Valley tableware collection, guests are invited to indulge in this elegant afternoon ritual.

Located at 28 E 63rd St, New York, NY 10065, Afternoon Tea at Majorelle operates as a restaurant serving New York in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as lunch restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. The most common schedule is 12–4:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (212) 935-2888. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, lowellhotel.com.

New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in New York peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We had a lovely afternoon here. The food and service was excellent. I really want to extend cudos to the floor manager. There was a slight mix up and she went above and beyond to correct it to make our stay special. She embodies the truest spirit of hospitality and her kindness this afternoon really struck me.

The best afternoon tea I've had (in NYC and Europe). The staff and service was impacable. Went there to celebrate mom's birthday, and of course, they brought out a candle in a dessert. Everything you touched on a table was Dior, even the cushion pillow on your chairs. The food was really tasty with a nice selection and variety. If you are unsure how to suprise a special person, young or old, woman or man, you will not go wrong with this venue. Price is reasonable for such experience. Make sure to make reservations.

I enjoyed a wonderful tea service with my mom. Fortunately we still made it in time for the holiday menu. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout service. They came often to pour tea and check in on us. We greatly appreciated that. Service consisted of small sandwiches, a variety of desserts, and scones. The desserts were wonderful and fruit-forward. Scones arrived towards the end of service. I enjoyed the flavor of the sandwiches but wished the bread tasted a little fresher. We also were able to purchase Dior cookies, a slice of pink cake, and a buche de noel (seasonal). They were also great albeit pricey for what was delivered. All in all would love to come back!

Such long awaited tea time turnout out to be unfortunate event. From waiter spilling tea all over the table and dropping a flower vase and spilling water all over our feet. As an applied we’re given paper napkins to clean ourselves up. To a muffin that had a long thick hair which I took a bite off right in front of our waiter and she took it away, coming back with a two madeleine cookie wrapped in plastic as an sorry gift from the chef and explanation that it wasn’t a hair, but a hair from a brush they use for pasty. We finished our brunch and took left overs home including gifted cookies. As I came home, and opened a pack - cookies were stale. It is so disappointing to have such high rated expensive (almost $400 with gratuity) experience go so wrong.

Went this past February in a group of 4 to enjoy the Lily of the Valley Afternoon Tea. Attentive staff, chique venue, and lovely afternoon tea display. My favorite of the desserts was the parfait and the sandwiches were all decent. No teas stood out for me but none were bad. The overall Afternoon tea service was well executed and an enjoyable experience. Right on par with the price point. The take home boxes are absolutely cute as well. You will enjoy!
